TOP TEN MOST WANTED ITEMS

OK, so many people question the rarity of items, and often struggle with trades. I, for one, know that I have made very many undertrades, overtrades, and fair trades. Most people these days will expect you to overtrade for everything, because they will only accept if it means they're getting rarer. It is very hard to find someone who will accept an undertrade or even a fair trade. When trading, it is always best to remember that when someone wants you to overtrade for something, there are always other people out there with the same item with whom you can fairly trade with. To ensure the fairest trades, I have created a list of the top ten most wanted items on Animal Jam (in order). This is as of the Jamaalidays of 2015, and I will regularly be updating when the items change in rarity.

So, let's start. (Number 10 being the lowest, and number 1 being the highest)

Item Talk:

Phantom Rugs: Aparri (a famous "jammer" who makes videos on YouTube) uploaded a video
commenting on how Phantom Rugs were secret rare items. He traded a beta arctic hood and a
first glitched ring for it. However, much like Ibex Horns, this was most likely all a
joke.
 What most people will trade for them:
Beta Arctic Hood (Aparri)
Glitched Ring (Aparri)
Rare Short Spiked Wristband
Several good or decent Den Betas
Good long collar

 What they are worth (in MY sole opinion. No one is forcing you to believe this):
A few decent Den Betas
A couple good Clothing Betas

I traded three good den betas for a blue Phantom Rug, and they declined! Those betas were
Yellow Sweets, Spaceship Gray, and a Rocking Horse, which are very good den betas. If you
have this item, you are very lucky, because they are worth quite a lot nowadays! Here is
the rarity sequence that I KNOW OF:
Least Rarity: Black, or any other colour that is not listed below
Middle Rarities: Blue, Green, and Red, Pink, Purple, Orange (No detail has been ensued)
Best Rarity: Yellow/Golden (Worth Magenta Furries according to Aparri)

Jamaaliday Scarf: Even though this is a Jamaaliday item, it is still talked about and
requested.
 What most people trade for them:
Strange items worth almost nothing
Bad den betas

 What they are worth in my opinion:
ONE bad den beta
TWO fake den betas

While Jamaaliday Scarves aren't worth that much, they do look rather nice on any animal! If you own one of these, you are slightly rare, but not "quite". Here is the rarity sequence that I know of:
Least Rarity: Green, blue, purple, any other color besides the ones listed below
Middle Rarity: Red
Best Rarity: Black (since black items are usually worth the most, based on popular opinion) and Brown

Neon Bow: These items are actually worth quite a lot, although I wouldn't go so far as a
long collar. Perhaps an orange long, if you're desperate for one, but I wouldn't trade
that.
 What most people trade for them:
Several good den betas (And I mean you have to have A LOT of good den betas to get this)
A bad short spiked wristband (but not orange)
A bad short collar (orange or green if you're lucky)
Orange long and add (if someone is desperate)

 What they are worth in my opinion:
Several good den betas
A bad short spiked wristband (orange included, but add a den beta or two)

These items are much different from the regular Bow and Arrows, and they are very much
sought after in Animal Jam. They look good on any animal, if combined with the right
colours, and are sure to stand out in a crowd! There is only one version of this item, and
that is the black bow with the neon-blue (hence the name) strings.

Cupid Wings: The glitched variations of these items are actually worth spikes, and the
non-glitched (glossy) versions are worth a couple of den betas. For now, we'll talk about
the glitched/glossy cupid wings, since those are the most popular. They are the cupid
wings with white highlights (and the highlights must be COMPLETELY white. No soft pinks or
greens or brown. SOLID WHITE HIGHLIGHTS).
 What most people will trade for them:
Long spiked collars (certain colours of Cupids)
Other Cupid colours
About 15-20 good den betas (depending on the Cupid colour)
A couple short spiked collars
Several long spiked or short spiked wristbands
Founders' Hat (for certain colours only)

 What they are worth in my opinion:
Short spiked collars
20 good/decent den betas
Founders' Hat (for brown glossy Cupids)
Headdress (for brown glossy Cupids)
Beta Tail Armour (for brown)
Beta Tiara (for brown as well)

If you have a glitched pair of Cupid Wings, then you are a very rare jammer! These items
are easily on the top 10 rarest list in Animal Jam, and are sure to fetch you a fortune!
Here is the rarity sequence that I know of:
Least Rare: Purple
Meh-ish Rarity: Light Blue
Middle Rarity: Green
Good Rarity: Pink
Great Rarity: Red
Best Rarity/Most Rare: Brown/Tan/Copper/Bronze (whatever you want to call the colour)

NOTE: The white Cupid Wings and the Black Cupid wings are NOT glossy/glitched! Many people
call the black ones glitched, but if they do not have a PURE WHITE highlight, they are not
glitched!!!
Also, these were never glitched, just the original versions of the Cupid Wings. Still worth a LOT, though!

Worn Blanket: Worn Blankets, more commonly known as "Worns" are quite a popular item on
Animal Jam. The ones marked with the "rare" label are actually not rare, as they were
either party items or a Rare Item Monday item. And while most people mistaken this item as
a beta, it is actually not. It was released about a month after the Beta Testing, some
time around October. People will actually trade quite a lot for this, and if you're lucky,
they might even do an overtrade.
 What most people will trade for them: (depending on colour of worn)
Rare non-member Glove
A few good den betas (Mira statue, trapped phantoms, moon dirt, but all in variation)
Good Jamaaliday items
Other colour worns
Silver-and-gold elf tail armor (is worth a bit, even though it was in Graham's Workshop)

 What they are worth in my opinion:
A few good den betas (Moon dirt, blue vines, trapped phantoms, etc...)
Other colour worns

If you have a worn blanket, then you are very lucky because some people will do anything to get their hands on one! Here is the rarity rating from what I know:
Least Rare: Rare purple and rare light blue (Rare purple is worth a bit more, however)
Second-least Rare: Green-gray (vomit colour)
Eh-Rarity: Brown/Maroon (not to be confused with red worn)
Decent Rarity: Pink
Middle Rarity: Cream/yellow
Good Rarity: Purple (dark purple)
Better Rarity: Blue (dark blue)
Great Rarity: Red
Best Rarity: Black
(Note: Black worns are very rare, and the most sought after by far. They are worth two
rare non-member gloves and a couple den betas! Another good trade might be a bad short
wrist!)

Den Betas: While these are not exactly a defined item, jammers will often request you to
trade them den betas for their greater items. Den betas are usually what aid in getting
you cool items, such as spikes or even headdresses if you're lucky, and they were released
during the Beta Testing back in 2010 (The Beta Testing ended around October, 2010, in case
you were wondering). Den Betas don't exactly have a defined worth, but here are some of
the rarest den betas:

* Mira Statue
* Ice Mira Statue (Not beta, but unreleased and only available through trading and Forgotten Desert)
* Spaceship Gray (wallpaper, though not actually beta, but worth a lot)
* Yellow Sweets (wallpaper)
* Moon Dirt (flooring)
* River Race (arcade game that was taken out of stores and Jamaa entirely (but not dens) shortly after they were released and are easily worth more than a black long. It is not a den beta, but is listed here for its worth in being a den item)
* Rocking Horse
* Cami's Frog
* Traffic Cone
* Pot o' Gems
* Nature Archways (Lava, ice, and the two spring nature arches. Like River Race, these are NOT den betas, but monthly member gifts. They are only listed here because they are extremely wanted as far as den items go)
* Gecko Plushie
* Toy Robot (not the one from Epic Wonders)
* RC Car
* Sewing Machine
* Planet Walls (wallpaper)

Founders' Hat: More commonly known as a Founders, the Founders' Hat was an item that was released about a month or so after the Beta Testing ended. Since this item was often mistaken as a beta, people went absolutely crazy over getting their hands on one, and now they are worth a fortune. However, these were never meant to be rare, but seeing as everyone was insane about them, Animal Jam HQ later branded them with a "rare" tag to show their worth. However, this may have been a bad move, since most items never stay that rare for long (per say, freedom wings, freedom hats, and fox hats. These items used to be worth a fortune, but no longer are due to opinion changes).
 What most people will trade for them:
20 good den betas
River Race (on very RARE occasions)
Black Long Spiked Collar(s)
Long spiked collars
Headdresses (Not light pink or green-and-black, usually, considering those are some of the rarest ones)

 What they are worth in my opinion:
A bad short collar (But not orange or green)
Several good den betas and add
A few clothing betas (Such as the unreleased Mech Angel Helmets, ninja masks, and top hats)

There is only one variation of the Founders', and don't call it a Top Hat, because while those are worth good stuff, it still isn't a Founders' and is not nearly worth as much! If you have a Founders' Hat, then consider yourself very, very lucky because these items can fetch quite a bit!

New Year's Party Hat: Almost always referred to as the Party Hat, this item is quite rare as far as clothing goes. A few people mistake it as a beta item, but, like most items such as this, it was merely the monthly member gift from January in 2012. Since a few people became members then, there are only so many in the entire game. However, people will trade quite the plethora of good stuff for this item.
 Most people will trade:
Long spiked collars
Founders' (occasionally)
Headdresses (Such as the Rare Item Monday headdress, and the purple-and-pink headdress, but you will have to add on the Party Hat's part)
Several good den betas and add

 What they are worth in my opinion:
Good long collars (red, blue, and black if you add small TO the Party Hat)
Headdresses (Purple-and-pink if you add small TO the Party Hat, and green-and-red if you add decent TO the Party Hat)
Second "Glitched" Ring (If you add a lot TO the Party Hat)
First birthday cake (and add a lot FOR the Party Hat)

Party hats are one of the most wanted items in-game, and if you have one, you should really be careful as to what you trade! Here are the rarity ratings based on what I have seen throughout Animal Jam:
Least Rare: Orange
Second-to-least Rare: Green
Eh-Rarity: Yellow
Middle Rarity: Pink
Good Rarity: Red
Better Rarity: Blue
Great Rarity: Purple
Best Rarity: Silver/White

Headdress: As we near the most wanted item on Animal Jam, the headdress comes in at a very close second. The headdress is not beta, but released about two months after the Beta Testing, in November, sometime around Thanksgiving. It has been in stores around two times, yet this item is worth more than even the famous spiked collar. However, these items have their rankings based on colour, as well as most multi-coloured rares. And since these are so distinctly far apart, we're going to separate what people will trade for them. But first, we are going to put them in order from least rare to rarest:
Least Rare: Rare Item Monday Headdress (purple-and-white)
Second-to-least Rare: Pink-and-Purple
Bad Rarity: Orange-and-white
Eh-ish Rarity: Green-and-magenta
Decent Rarity: Green-and-grey
Middle Rarity: Red-and-tan
Good Rarity: Blue-and-grey
Great Rarity: Green-and-black
Best Rarity: Light pink

 What most people will trade for: Rare Item Monday Headdress
Black long (if you're super, super lucky)
Two good long collars
Several really good den betas and a couple good short collars
Eight or more decent long wrists

   What they are worth in my opinion:

Beta Blanket (add TO the headdress; beta blankets are one of the rarest items in the game! A light pink headdress can merely help you to get one of these beta items)

   What they are worth in my opinion:

As you can tell by that list, headdresses are quite the prestigious item to own! Most jammers will don theirs if they own one, and you will often see jammers proudly wearing their marvelousnesses (is that even a word? probably not, LOL) around all of Jamaa! While these headdresses are not beta, Animal Jam HQ actually added a rare tag to every one of them in Animal Jam for their incredulous amount of worth!

Rare Spiked Collar/Wristband: Ah, the spike. Quite the fancy and high-class item to own. Whether it's short, long, or even a wristband, these items can be seen as quite an abundance all throughout Jamaa. They are the most sought-after item in the entire game, despite their rarity level being so low. Well, low to only some people. Most will put this item on a pedestal, above all other items. When I went around the Animal Jam community, asking people, 'If you could have one item in the entire game, what would it be?' about 35 out of the 40-45 people asked said a spike. This proves that the spike is definitely the most wanted, even though it can easily (or.... not so-easily) won in The Forgotten Desert, a members-only, flying animal adventure. Like said, people will do anything to get their hands on one, even if it includes scamming. I'm not exactly sure why it was this item in particular that went so high up, but the spike was one of the monthly member gifts a while back. They are not beta, despite what many people may think, but if you own one, consider yourself very, very lucky! Like the headdresses, we are going to list the least rare to the rarest, and then describe what that colour is worth and what I think it should be worth. We are going to be doing long collars for this, and a quick note to the short collars and the wristbands: they are worth several spikes lower than them, or a few good den betas. Here is the rarity of the LONG SPIKED COLLARS: (This also applies to the shorts and wristbands, but the independent colour-worth listing will be solely the longs)
Least rare: Orange
Second-to-least rare: Green
Eh-ish Rarity: Yellow (although yellow has gone up a considerable amount)
Decent Rarity: Pink
Middle Rarity: Purple

(NOTE: This is only because the black long is the second most common spike in Animal Jam) If you have one of these long collars, then you are a very, very lucky Jammer! They are worth QUITE a lot, and they are the most requested item in-game!
